PRESIDENT'S ANNUAL REPORT
JUNE 26, 2008
As President of the Governing Board I will say it has been a very busy year. Many challenges
have come our way. It is Team effort that accomplishes the goals set by the Governing Board
and Management to make Sun City West what it is today “The Best Place To Live”.
The following are some of the projects that have been accomplished or are in progress:
• Library Remodel and addition
• Resident Forum was held in March
• Purchased Water Rights
• Approving the 2008/2009 Budget
• Repairing the roof at the Sports Pavilion.
• Completing the Beardsley Fitness Center renovation.
• Developing concept plans for the new pickleball courts.
• Resurfacing the outdoor pool deck at Palm Ridge
• Resurfacing all six tennis courts at Kuentz Rec Center with Pro Bounce.
• Replacing the pump station at Pebblebrook Golf Course.
• Completing the second phase of irrigation upgrades and adding a new filtration system
for the pump station at Desert Trails Golf Course.
• Leveling the tee boxes at Trail Ridge Golf Course.
And to my friends on the Board – we haven’t always agreed on every issue, but we have agreed
that our common desire is to make Sun City West an even better place to live. I thank you for
your hard work and your support. To those of us remaining and those who are just beginning,
may we remember first and foremost our dedication to the Recreation Centers of Sun City West.
